The combination of solar PV cells and the latest generation of LED light sources have given lighting designers, architects and environmental engineers a new tool to provide effective lighting where electrical installations are difficult, or for reasons of environmental care and responsibility.
The solar sign light offers a solution to any sign lighting application from a simple Highways Agency traffic sign to a large hording sign.
The basic units consist of the well proven cast aluminium sign light, fitted with either 4, 6 or 8 high flux LEDs with wattage and selection lens combinations to suit. The solar panel can be fitted with a standard pole bracket, or one designed to site the panel in a convenient location.
The controls consist of the solar regulator, and either a time switch or photoelectric cell and the battery can be fitted in a purpose designed enclosure manufactured in either galvanised steel or stainless steel. For larger schemes the battery packs can be housed in a unique column designed to take the loadings of the larger panels as well as to house the batteries in the base. This provides a tidy and clean solution to eliminate street clutter.
